Catawba Valley Community College will offer an orientation session Feb. 20, from 1 to 3 p.m., at CVCC’s Alexander Center for Education in Taylorsville for the NC Back-to-Work initiative to assist the area’s unemployed and under-employed with training for new careers.
NC Back-to-Work provides state grant funded short-term job training and third-party industry credentials, employability skills, Career Readiness Certificate, career coaching and advising.
Industry recognized credentials can be earned through the NC Back-to-Work program, including the Certified Logistics Technician, Certified Production Technician, and MSSC credentialing in Mechatronics.
Anyone who is unemployed, under-employed (individual income at or below $22,980 per year), a veteran, or member of the NC National Guard is eligible to apply for this program.
