Circle K International LogoOnce again the CVCC Chapter of Circle K International brought home an exceptional number of awards from the Carolinas District Convention on February 21-23 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Our students excelled among their peers from participating four-year schools, including NC State, UNC-CH, UNC-W, Wake Forest, Duke, College of Charleston, USC-Aiken, and Lenoir Rhyne.  Led by faculty advisor, Annis Shields, our Circle K chapter earned the following awards:

–Club Achievement Award

–Best Roll Call Chant, led by Katia Carson

–Traditional Scrapbook Award

–Election of Katie Musselman as Lieutenant Governor for the Blue Ridge Division, a high honor for a community college student.  She will oversee clubs at LR, ASU, Mayland CC, and CVCC.

–Annis Shields awarded the Wayne T. Adams Faculty Advisor Award for a second year.

–Induction of Annis Shields as an Honorary Circle K Member, an honor bestowed by the District Board of CKI.

Many of our CVCC Circle K alumni go on to attend four-year schools and remain active in Circle K, continuing in leadership capacities.  Congratulations to a terrific club and outstanding leader.
