CVCC presents Freedom Forum Inc. Motivational Speakers

CVCC LogoCatawba Valley Community College presents Freedom Forum Inc. motivational speakers Pete McCoy and Janice Johnson on Tues., March 25 beginning at 7 p.m. in the CVCC East Wing Auditorium.

Freedom Forum Inc. presents two motivational people who have “walked the walk” and now “talk the talk” with a stirring freedom and anti-drug message.  They have addressed over 2 million students across the country with their “American Freedom” and “Choices” message

Pete McCoy was born in a bomb shelter in Berlin Germany shortly after a British night bombing raid in 1940.  Some of his first memories are of his Jewish playmates being taken away and his apartment house being destroyed. His family was bombed out nine times and suffered the deprivation of war-torn Berlin.  He came to America in late 1948. Later he returned to Germany for high school, but realized upon his return that he had forgotten his German language.

Pete relates his difficulties growing up in Germany and eventually becoming an American.  He will infuse the audience with a love for America and appreciation for the freedoms we often take for granted.

Janice Johnson from Greenville Mississippi speaks to student groups about the bad choices, while in high school, that led to her incarceration. Her dynamic message is truthful, powerful and honest. Her delivery is spellbinding.

“This will be an evening you won’t easily forget”
