Chanell Morello, Executive Director of CVCC Learning and Personal Enrichment Innovation Center has been honored as one of Hickory’s Top 10 under 40 Nominees by the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce and Hickory Young Professionals.
Chanell oversees the Departments of Community Enrichment as well as Adult Basic Education. She has directed a restructuring of services that involved training staff member for positions of greater responsibility.
She and her staff, were recognized at the state level with the NC Community Colleges Adult Education Association Innovation award for their achievements in maintaining vital services for the larger community during a shrinking budget season.
Fluent in Spanish and Italian languages, Chanell volunteers as an interpreter at campus events and for students at CVCC.
Chanell currently serves on the Alexander International Center board of directors and the Future Forward Workforce Alliance. She is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children and Hickory Young Professionals and performs numerous service projects through her membership in Phi Delta Kappa International Honor Society and Kappa Delta Pi International Society.
