If you are a current student or plan to enroll at Catawba Valley Community College this fall and need to brush up on your math skills before you take or re-take a math placement test, two free review sessions are scheduled for July.
The first session will be held Mon., July 27, and covers concepts taught in Developmental Mathematics 010, 020 and 030. Attendees can choose from one of two different times: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 5 to 9 p.m.
The second session will be held Tues., July 28, and covers concepts taught in Developmental Mathematics 040, 050, 060 and 065. Attendees can choose from one of two different times: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 5 to 9 p.m.
All sessions are held in room 345 of the Cuyler Dunbar Bldg. on the main campus on US Hwy. 70 SE in Hickory.
Bring a pencil, notebook and a basic calculator.
If you would like to retake the placement test, you are eligible for an opportunity to retake the placement test after completing one of the review sessions for a retesting fee of $10.
