CVCC Offers Free Career Search Info Session February 9

The Catawba Valley Community College Workforce Development Innovation Center will offer a Career Search Information Session from 1 to 4 p.m. on Tues., Feb. 9, at CVCC’s East Campus in Room 975. The free session will be held in partnership with NCWorks Career Center-Catawba and is open to the general public.

CVCC representatives will advise attendees on how to update their personal marketing tools and networking strategies, target their job search for in-demand jobs, get job leads and locate resources that can help them stay strong while seeking employment.

Continuing education courses and certificate programs provide marketable skills that help the unemployed transition to new careers or sharpen skills for a current career. Attendees will learn more about such industry recognized certifications and continuing education credentials. Those who are unemployed, underemployed, displaced workers or veterans may qualify for this type of additional training at no cost.

For more information and to reserve your spot for the information session, contact Dana Glenn, Director of CVCC’s NCWorks Jobs-Driven Initiative Program, 828-327-7000, ext. 4590, or dglenn@cvcc.edu.
