Catawba Valley Community College student Blair Little was recently awarded the Jane Cox Hendrix Scholarship through the North Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc.
Eligible students must be enrolled in an accredited entry-level radiologic science program, a member of the NCSRT and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or grade of B in their radiologic science core curriculum.
The NCSRT established the Jane Cox Hendrix scholarship in 2002 to honor the memory of Hendrix, who was an innovator in the imaging sciences during her career teaching x-ray physics in the late 1940s at UNC-Greensboro.
Little is an active member of CVCC’s Radiography Club that has conducted several activities resulting in donations to Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Hospital. She is also active in club fundraising activities for attending the annual Radiologic Society of North America meeting in Chicago.
A graduate of Bandys High School, Little is a student radiographic technologist at Carolina Orthopedics in Mountain View. She is a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Newton and a resident of Sherrills Ford.
